Purpose...

The Jubilee Child Day Care Center is a ministry of the Salem United Methodist Church, committed to meeting the needs of families with young children.  Jubilee is a community service serving families from all social, religious and economic circumstances.  Early childhood education must balance the needs and interest of each child to promote the maximum development of his or her mind, body and spirit.  We encourage learning through work and play in a Christian environment under the guidance of loving, qualified teachers.

Philosophy...

At Jubilee, we promote the development of self -esteem, respect for others, responsibility and independence in children.  Young children are curious and enjoy learning.  They learn best through active exploration of their environment as well as social interaction with their peers.  As a church sponsored ministry, Bible stories will be shared with the children daily.  We encourage the children to live with God’s love and care and display this towards others.

Parent Involvement...

Meaningful communication with parents is essential for quality child care.  You are your child’s primary teacher; we support the love, nurturing and upbringing of your child, but we can not substitute home.  At Jubilee, we foster communication in a variety of ways.  Annual parent teacher conferences are held to discuss your child’s growth and development.  Additionally, Jubilee is overseen by a Board of Directors, comprised of both parent representatives and church members.  The Board of Directors provides oversight and support to the Jubilee program mission.
